My california week!

Ok, so it been a while since I have posted but in the last week I did more then I thought I could fit into 7 days! When I first so there Jenn and I started on the invititations- and believe me they took more then one night..... I never knew so many things could fit into one , oh wait no, 3 envelopes. Geese.... all they have to say is show up right? WRONG!




Next was getting ready for the bridal showere we had! That was a good time! What a great way to get some girls together with some mimosas, gifts and games! great times. The day stared with my makeup and hair trial. The picture to the left is Robin and I pre-appointment!
 I wanted something gorgeous and fun that would last the whole day and Susie Chhuor's studio did just that! Man it was a process but they gave me all I wanted!

 The day was great and we had so much fun at the shower, thanks to all the ladies who made it possible! We sure know how to party huh?

The Silver Sixpence

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe.

So before today I didn't know the story behind having a sixpence on your wedding day.  Then on my way to a meeting at lunch Mindy, our school's librarian pulled me aside and said she had something for me. I thougt is was another book on the civil War or something but instead she pulled out a coin in a plastic case and a story to go with it.  She explained that on her wedding day her grandfather gave her a sixpence to give her good luck and she wanted to pass the tradition on to me. I almost cried. How thoughtful she was, how special that she shared that with me and tried to make my special day just that much better. When people think about me, it makes me smile! Sip and Scan- going 007 on date night

So last night Ty and I went to Scottsdale (uh, I know right) and attended the sip and scan even at Macy's. Now we are first and foremost registered at  http://www.honeyfund.com/wedding/oneyhellman for our honey moon since that what we really want to do but for like my bridal shower we decided to look around and have some fun! We were pleasantly surprised. We never get out and do anything fun and all the other couples that were there were cute too. I scanned tons of cooking stuff and we put matching robes on there! You can check our registry out at Macy's at Macys.com.registry. I recommend this for all brides it was such a fun experience, even Ty got into it. We left with appetizers, drinks, our list, a 25 gift card and 2 wine glasses. Then we finished it off with some PF Changs accorss the street. BEST DATE NIGHT I could have asked for!
